About the project
A. Vogel AG has invested 20 million in expanding production at its Roggwil (TG) site. By increasing capacity and modernizing production, the company is sending a clear signal in favor of Switzerland as a production location.
A. Vogel's focus is on the development and production of herbal medicines, among other things. The new production facility had to comply with GMP guidelines. Rey Technology carried out this comprehensive project on behalf of Amasyst AG, which has established itself in the field of plant engineering for automatic bulk material and mixing plants.
The fresh plants are delivered via an airlock and chopped up. They are mixed with water and ethanol in two mixers with a volume of 4000 and 6000 liters, respectively. The mash is then fed into two presses. During this process, the mixers are filled with nitrogen to ensure that no explosive atmosphere can develop. The extract obtained is then pumped into the new tank farm. CIP cleaning completes the process.
